Volunteer

We are the #1 selling school in America for AP Hearst and we can’t do it without our volunteers!

Decorations/Spirit/Signs:

4-5 volunteers to assist with decorating the school prior to the first day of school. 1-2 people needed weekly (Mondays and Tuesdays mostly) during the Drive to update visual displays in main hallway, post and take down signs for turn in days and other related events, and decorate outside entrances, turnabouts, etc. on turn in days (early morning or evening before), and assist with any other props needed for spirit and/or rallies.

Reports

From the comfort of your own home, run the reports from the publisher’s website to capture the online orders and record the orders on the tally sheets PRIOR to drop off each Tuesday morning during the Drive. This can be done late night Monday and/or early Tuesday mornings.

Tuesday Tally

Come help us count the orders and money! We need 10-15 volunteers each Tuesday morning during the Drive immediately after drop to help total all those orders. 1-2 hours each week.

Tuesday Prizes

Each Tuesday during the Drive, the top turn in grades for that week are announced and small prizes are often given at the end of the day. Create a zippy little announcement, find someone to read it (i.e. yourself, Dr. Peters, Leadership, etc.) over the PA and give the top grade their prize.

Prizes

4 -5 volunteers to help organize, package and distribute all of the individual prizes at the end of the Drive. (This takes place in early October and is an evening commitment for 3-5 hours), 2 - 4 volunteers to deliver prizes after closing assembly and help answer prize questions; 1 -2 people needed to assist in spinning the prize wheel, etc.

Assemblies

1 - 2 volunteers needed to help with the opening and closing assemblies (First week in September and first or second week in October). Must be available during the day on assembly days.

Fun Center

1 organized individual to coordinate this exciting prize field trip for 125+ top selling students to the Family Fun Center in Tukwila! Create the spreadsheet (Excel work at home) of top sellers (and sibs of qualifying families), coordinate permission slips for all participants, communicate with teachers, recruit chaperones, make arrangements with FFC, coordinate bus transportation, etc.

Audit

Audit weekly sales totals to confirm tally totals.

Parish Sales

Coordinate with the Parish and recruit volunteers to attract sales from Parish members.
